One Wild Night in York and why Black Wine is not to be fucked with...

So once again I fuck up and don't bring the flip camera along to a show... Damn... Because Last night's Show in York PA melted my face.

Last night we roll up into York PA around 7:30 pm. The Depot isn't open yet but we don't care cuz Sparky, John and I are gonna meet up with Johnny and Kate at Roburritos. If you ever go to York, GO TO ROBURRITOS; JUST GO. We get to Roburritos and get lit up on their million kinds of hot sauce. Sooooo good. Wallride Records sells records there so once you're done reading this go get a burrito and a 7" while you're at it. We get to the show and start partying right away b/c in case you don't already know; The Depot in York rules. Ever seen a pitcher of Rum and Coke? Ok fine, maybe you have but for $5 that was a drink for choice for sure. Folks start coming and Boss DJs start Slamming some tunes. Folk are getting loose to some strong pours from the bartender (pretty cool lady, who's good at jokes). Right about 10pm CRIMES jumps on stage and begins a sonic mind blast of a set. Highly recommend this band to anyone looking for some good dissonant but melodic punk. 20 minuted later I'm hanging with Crimes after the their set. I try to steal some of their fried pickles, but they aren't having it so I buy my own. Whatever. Whiff hits the stage next. This band is amazing. I've seen them twice now and its just getting better. Totally melodic up tempo tunes with some KILLER vocals. We played next. 10 songs 20 minutes. Enough said. Thanks to everyone from the last Depot show who came to this one and said hey afterwards. That rules. Seriously rules. Thanks for being up front and getting in to it. So then Black Wine gets on stage and DESTROYS. I helped with a show for them a while ago. Maybe I'm pumped on going to shows again... or Maybe I'm just a sucker for Bands that set up, KILL IT and then KILL IT some more. Everyone check this band out. Nice to get to play with a band that is totally on its way up. Great tunes. I can't say enough good shit about this band. 3pc band that sounds like a Sonic Army. After that everyone got wasted and went home. So to sum it up: Roburritos + Crimes+ Whiff+ Radical Discharge + BLACK WINE= AMAZING. Thanks York PA. That Ruled.
